Delays

The delay in our adoption is increasing. DUMA, which is the Russian law making body, has temporally stopped adoptions while they make changes in the adoption laws. No one knows how long this will take. Many families on the adoption forums are upset and now a lot of other families are experiencing delays also. Sometimes though it is hard to sympathize with them, especially when they have only been waiting 4 or 5 weeks. Chances are they will get their court dates and be home with their children long before we do.
We really anticipated bring them home this month, but there are still 22 families ahead of us on the list.
